Celebrate spring solstice by joining us at Uflora in historic downtown Newberg, Oregon to stitch a beautiful spring inspired piece that reminds us that everything becomes new again, and that includes you. This is a variation on last year’s solstice pattern, which featured Douglas-fir branches. This year we’ll be stitching one of my favorite harbingers of spring, the fawn lily. All skill levels are welcome and all supplies are included. All participants will leave with a started piece and all of the supplies needed to finish their piece at home.
Class is limited to 10 participants.
Join Cara McFetridge in the light-filled Ponderosa Classroom in downtown Salem, Oregon and enjoy some hands-on embroidery education. Cara will be leading participants through a beautiful floral piece featuring native Oregonian wildlife—no prior experience is necessary! We will cover the basics and work through the knots together. All participants will leave with a started piece and all of the supplies needed to finish their piece at home.
Class is limited to 25 participants.
I’m thrilled to be joining Kristin from Witte Flower Farm as she hosts a beautiful, cozy day at her farm in one of my favorite wild, hilly pockets of Salem. Here’s what she has to say about the event:
Celebrate the beginning of Winter and create beautiful wreaths, garlands and crafts from a wide variety of foraged branches, leaves, lichen and dried flowers from the farm.
This restful retreat is designed to awaken your creative being and create rituals that embrace the winter season. Fill your home with the beauty of Winter.
Cara from Wildwood Needle and Craft will be teaching embroidery. Explore the dried flowers and greens gathered for wreath making and garlands. Chas from Wildflower PDX will be wrapping botanicals in silk and explore the world of eco dyeing. Explore the world of printmaking, or create tiles with botanical casts of your favorite blooms and grasses. Create herb bundles to bring sweet aromas to your winter fires…. and so much more.
Enjoy delicious bites to eat and sip cocktails while we get our craft on! Welcome to our flower tribe.
